11TH ANNUAL PAPER FASHION SHOW

Brand + Identity Creation: Lydia McWherter and David Laskowski
Art Direction: Art Directors Club Denver
Challenge: Commissioned by the Art Directors Club Denver (ADCD) to create a fresh brand identity for the 11th Annual Paper Fashion Show while simultaneously honoring its roots—a collaborative effort by Denver artists supporting local talent and Downtown Aurora Visual Arts.
Creative Strategy: We embraced a highly tactile, hands-on approach to mirror the original spirit of the show. Every single visual element of the brand was physically built using paper and calligraphy. These bespoke pieces were then photographed and digitally composed to create the final, distinctive identity. This strategy successfully blended the new, fresh look the ADCD desired with an authentic celebration of paper craft and local artistry.
Impact: The resulting brand identity established a compelling visual connection between the marketing materials and the physical artistry of the event itself.
